I haven't played a newer Sonic game (unless you count ShtH) and still, me no get this as it has TP rip-offs as well as demonic dragon guys instead of good ol' Eggy as the main villain.

There not out of the woodworks yet. Yes it's good they added Sonic and Knuckles back, but the dark story might ruin it.
Well, it's on the Wii. And it looks buyable... I'm just hoping the game goes up, and not down.

- Playable characters are Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. GOOD!
- 3D SideScrolling/2.5D YES!
- Eggman might play a good bad guy roll this time. Better than sidekick!
- Sonic has an evil alter-ego of himself now. I hope they make this work.
- Story takes place after Sonic 06. Please don't bring in any memories.
- SPEED. THANK GOD YES!
- NO second rate clones. YEAH!
- Sonic Team and Sega in Japan, America, and Europe are working collaboratively on this project. May God help them lead Sonic to a brighter day.

"Railed" 3-D Sonic would be good enough if you could actually choose a path instead of always following a set one. But then it wouldn't really be railed.

Okay, they fired Ryan Drummond and the rest just out of blue, only because one died.
But they had the 4Kids voice cast as back up.
But now, they don't have any backup.
Of course, I would be glad, if Jason and the rest would really GTFO.

OK..but how else would they mimic the 2D Sonic without rails?
It would be more like Sonic 06 without it, and we all know what happened to that.
This game seems to be a mix between the old Sonic 2D Platformers, Sonic & the Secret Rings, and Sonic Rush/Adventure.
I can see here they are trying VERY hard to make this game worth playing, by taking everything good about the good Sonic games, and combining it all into one game.
Lets give them a chance..

If it turns out that only Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are playable...
