| The third game in the MOTHER series finally saw the light of day in Japan on April 20, 2006. Japanese-speaking MOTHER fans can finally experience a game ten years in the making. There is no word yet on a North American or European release. The game, originally planned to be released on Nintendo 64 as EarthBound 64, tells the story of unique individuals whose paths cross and eventually lead them on a quest to save the world. But unlike typical RPGs, MOTHER 3 draws on many of the familiar elements of the previous titles while adding its own flavor to produce a gameplay experience like no other.
