First of, Yoshi is an awesome character, most of the people love him.
He helped Mario in a lot of adventures, the most importants being Yoshi's Island, Super Mario World, and Super Mario Sunshine.
Yoshi is a main character of the Nintendo franchise, appearing in most of the spin-offs, and having games where he's the star.
He is an extremely original character, and thanks to him, Mario and Luigi are alive.
Other characters, such as Birdo, have been called by names...Really weird names.
In fact, the Birdo character is stolen from other game, Doki doki panic.
