Who else thinks this movie is gonna suck? I mean... seriously, thugged out chipmunks?
I saw the trailer and a part of my childhood died. Probably had some nasty things happen to it beforehand too.
Why, why, oh why, must they insist on taking good old shows and completely destroy them with a half-baked CG modern-day remake?

In the trailer, you can their voices are higher pitched than in the animated series....Even more annoying...
Not only that, but it apparently doesn't have a real story....
why does every cartoon charecter need an ultra realistic CG make over?
just CG them the way they looked in the cartoon!

TGM, I don't know the story, but according to the commercials and previews, it seems to show how everything started. I'll go see it, try to get some more details, give it my opinion, and let you decide.

Yeah, the Chipmunks used to have very unique chip-squeak voices, but now they've just got those generic "I recorded my voice on a recorder set to slow and now it's sqeaky, lol"

Or, god forbid, animate a movie.
1. the chipmunks dont look gangster in the movie. I haven't even watched the movie and I know that.

SO TRUE. They wore that on the poster to grab the kids who never heard of them their attention.
