Well, if you have ever been to the old Shadow Star Forums, you may remember a Role Play called Pokemon: New Generation. It was born out of me being bored of seeing crappy role play battles with super-powered invincible Mary Sues. Plus, I hadn't seen a good Pokemon role play in a while.

It worked very similar to the advanced version of Pokemon games, including all items, Pokemon and traits up to and including the all advanced games. Only things that changes, were the lack of animation and that battles were all done by post. Oh yeah - and battle damages were fixed - so a Flamethrower from an average level 100 Charizard will always do the same damage, unless it's a critical hit.

Things that were added - well, you could gain and use forums points in my RP, plus there was a debug mode, which basically helped out with the EV training, and TM's etc. (The stuff you pros thought needed fixing in the games). Plus, you know exactly what pokemon are on each route/town etc. before you go, you automatically go to the pokemon centre in between each battle (unless you're fighting the Elite Four). New Places and events.

Why am I telling you this? Because I've wondering whether to put it up again - but in order to do so, it'll need it's own forum outside the RP forum, due to the version of IPB SSF currently has. If the demand is there, then I'll make the forum by the end of the week, but if I can't get 5 people willing to use it, then it's not worth having it's own section and I'll wait for the next upgrade.

I found this very fun on the last version of SSF when you set it up.

It was put together quite nicely. It was like a whole new version of a Pokemon game. And now that we have the points system up this time around, a lot more could be done with it.
