i can't tell if he's good or not.The new game about him for wii is kind of good.

I don't see what's so great about the series to be perfectly honest

but people will probably say that is because it was "before my time"

So, you're basically some purple jester dancing around?

Well, NiGHTS (can be both genders, you decide) is a purple jester living in the dream world of Nightopia. He and his red counterpart, Reala, were created by Wizeman the Wicked (bad guy) from Nightmare, to steal energy from the dream world. NiGHTS, being a top-class Nightmaren with a mind of his own, he betrayed Wizeman and Reala to live his own life, but then resulted in being captured himself in an Ideya Palace.

2 kids, Elliot Edwards and Claris Sinclair, found NiGHTS in their dreams, fused with him (one at a time) and to stop the nightmares from spreading. Of course, it resulted in saving the world and defeating Wizeman.

The gameplay is you flying around basically, but you learn more techniques throughout the game.

NiGHTS appeared in his first game, NiGHTS into Dreams..., but then appeared in remakes. In other games, he/she makes cameo appearances (Sonic Adventure (DX), Sonic Adventure 2 (Battle), Shadow the Hedgehog)). And in others, you play as him (Sonic Riders, Sonic Riders Zero Gravity) or use him as a partner in "Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg" via the Sonic Team Egg, along with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, a chao, Amigo and some wierd monster.

Apparently, it seems that NiGHTS' first game was very popular, and fans demanded a sequel. Here it is, 11 years later; NiGHTS, Journey of Dreams for the Wii. So, I guess both NiGHTS games are very good. We'll see what Nintendo Power has to say.
