What are you talking about?KH:CoM is a great game once you get used to the controls. If you want to know everything about Kingdom Hearts, then playing CoM is a must. The events that takes place here will have a big impact on the KH series ( Since the room of sleep is located in Castle Oblivion ).
I never really liked CoM. But I loved the second one. Could not stop playing it. I could NEVER beat the final bosses in the first one......

IMO KH is awesome, but the fact that there was no explanation from 1 to 2 confused me. Never played CoM, didnt think it would be important
I've never played the KH series outside of the GBA, and, I'm quite bored you see. I want to see how it feels to play it on a Sony system for once. But, I hear a KH game for the DS is pending release, or is ALREADY released, so I might get it.

KH1 was hard and the graphic aren't that good but still decent 
As for KH2, I loved that game so much, with its insanely easy battles (not counting Sephiroth... ehhhh... *hasn't beaten him yet*) and awesome drive forms

I had some trouble with Sephiroth too, but you'll eventually get used to his attack pattern

I strongly recommend that you play the first installment to the series. Buy a PS2 ( which is cheap, btw ) and pick up Kingdom Hearts which should be twenty dollars or so. Seriously, the game is very good...
Same can be said for KH2 which definitely is better ( yet slightly easier ) then Kingdom Hearts. They're that good... I should know.
When does KH3 come out, and will it come out for PS2? Not paying for no PS3.
