I finally got this game today. And it's not a bit overhyped, fun as anything.

I'm not the biggest fan of the "collect the stars" mario games, but its still on the top of my Wii wish list

You should. It's awesome. It has great boss battles, fun levels, and keeps you just as entertained throughout the entire game.
I've just about played through every galaxy. What's everyone's favorite (@ those who have played it)?

I've only just started the Freezeflame Galaxy. I don't think I like it. My favourite Galaxy so far'll probably be the Honeyhive one or the Garden one.

This game is the game of the year. Would of been the game of the decade/century if Brawl wasn't coming out next year...

My favorite is Gusty Garden Galaxy.
It has my favorite boss, Mr. Giant Mole In A Spiky Hat.
My favorite purple comet mission is Cosmic Races.
The ending makes me want the next Mario game so muuuuuuuuch!

I just played a little at my cousin's house, and I think it rushed into the story a bit to quickly IMO. I mean, it just started at the Festival thing and I was like, "WTF is this?"

Yeah, that's the only thing about it I subtract points from. Everything else is awesome, IMO.
Oh, my favorite galaxies now would have to be Gusty Garden and Freezeflame...
I don't think the game deserves second best game ever. It's way too overhyped.

Nintendo Power gave the game a 9.5 rating, but I'll give it myself if I get it Xmas.

Yeah, the game is awesome. Anyone who dosen't want it has no sense of enjoyment.

Luigi's Purple Coins is actually easier compared to a few other comet stars.
Cosmic Luigi's a pain in the ass to beat, the Melty Molten Magma level's Daredevil star was a pain, and the purple coin Dreadnought one was by far the worst IMO.

Cosmic Luigi? I don't remember that one. And Luigi's purple coins was a pain in the ass. flounderin long jump and falling down and into the swamp. Also Melty Molten wasn't a pain the ass. But that galaxy is freakin cool. and lol Dreadnought. What a pain but it was easy once I found out the controls.

In Freezeflame Galaxy, he got miles ahead from me. Luckily, he didn't take that shortcut which involve Long-Jumping instead of doing the detour. If he did, I would still be trying to beat him in Freezeflame Galaxy.

GAWD I hate Spring Mario. And The Molten Magma Galaxy. And that stupid Daredevil Bouldergeist Fight.
Is it normal to save your game with 40+ lives, and when you start it up again, you have 4?

its funny cuz when i fight boudlergeist regularly, i can beat him without taking a hit
but on daredevil, i cant do it.

That's another thing I loved about Sunshine. If you saved and ended the game with 50 lives, you restart the file with the same amount, instead of it reverting to 4.
Just wait until you do the Daredevil star on the Magma galaxy....

I actually like all three of those things, in spite of their difficulty. Now, Melty Molten Daredevil... THAT was a pain.
And yeah, that lives thing is normal. The game does not save your lives.
