I rented this game (due back Saturday.. salami), and simply, I can not to my hands off of it. Sega has definitely improved, and the CG scenes were well made. The game controls took a little getting used to, but hey! The features, the characters, the gear, the stages, the story, (shall I go on?) IT RULED!! Best Sonic game I've played up 'till now! The Gravity Dives and Gravity Control were exciting abilities. The only down side of the game,... NO WI-FI RACES!!!! :scream: :scream: :scream:

Other than that, you can talk about the game here.

I rented it too, it was bad IMO. Not much really improved in the game, and there's not much things to do other than race. The Wi-fi features were pretty dissapointing too.

Well, the tracks were bigger, and the music definitely improved (at least).

Well, I played it with my cousin, who has the US-Version.
And I am amazed how bad this game is.

I agree with the following reader review from IGN:

When the second Sonic Riders game was announced I had very low expectations. The first Sonic Riders game was mediocre at best. I decided to check the game out and hope that the things from Sonic Riders 1 would be fixed in the sequel.

The gameplay has been improved, but it's still a bad game. Not very fun to play to be honest. Excluding the Sonic Rush series Sonic games have not been very fun to play these last few years. The Sonic Riders series is no exception.

The game just feels rushed, pointless, and just a game being made for the money.

While it is better than the first Sonic Riders, it's still not a very fun game. The entire concept is too flawed to be enjoyed.

The Wii controls feel a little gimmicky to be honest, if you want to buy SRZG get the cheaper PS2 version with the non-gimmicky controls.

What I would enjoy, is racing on feet against other characters, steering different characters in the Sonic universe. Gameplay similar to Sonic and the Secret Rings.

Sega really needs to stop shoving Sonic Spin off games down our throats, and focus on the main games.
