((MESN is a nationwide broadcaster. The MESN crew will discuss league events in your show, and will dissect your team's moves and progress))

"Welcome to The Roundtable at MESN, today we are discussing big news in the MKSL"

"big news indeed, league owners have agreed to a new playoff format that will allow a total of 6 teams in the postseason"

"it means more money for more teams, that's why they voted yes"

"of course, but it is also good from the fans perspective, more playoff spots means a greater chance thier team will have a shot at winning it all"

"I'm gonna miss the tense end of season race for the final spot, the playoff chase won't be as competitive this year"

"it still will be, especially if the Bolts, Infernos, and Imperials emerge like I think they will, and there is just somthing about the playoffs, this adds more meat to the postseason"

"anyway, the teams are practicing and we have taken the liberty of interviewing one player from each of the 12 teams. Don't miss it!"

((lol, that's your cue, pick a player and RP the interview))

Gary is behind the Camera BTW.

Gary: Yeah so. This is going to be your last practise before the season starts, heh Karl?

Karl: Yeah...

Gary: How do you feel about your new Backup Captain postion?

Karl: It's great to me. I always liked Soccer, so it's kind of a honor.

Gary: Thought you're still Backup... Doesn't that mean you be on the terrain most of time?

Karl: They still might need me often. My position is important and needs me to be always available.

Gary: You confident in yourself?

Karl: I sure am. I was playing Soccer since Primary school. I'm comfortable in this.

Gary: What does Soccer means to you?

Karl: *thinks for a second* Organization. Since I played soccer for the first time, I really devlopped my sense of Organization. That, and teamwork.

Interviewer: Hello there. I'm here to interview you!

Dorko Four You: I'm a bit busy practicing...

Interviewer: Whats with the loud music in the home stadium of yours? And why the song "What is love"?

Dorko Four You: What? Are you serious? Its like an arena for soccer and dancing! DISCO dancing! And that song fits PERFECTLY, I tell you!

Interviewer: Erm... I see... Well, you are only Backup Captain, but your face is painted on the floor along with the real captain's.

Dorko Four you: DUH! I'm just as important as that guy! We're buddies, really!

Interviewer: Why isn't Wario in your team?

Dorko Four You: We didn't have enough money to make him join.

Interviewer: So, what do you think about soccer?

Dorko Four You: Its an awesome sport, but not as much as dancing!

Interviewer: Um... is dancing even a sport?

Dorko Four You: Yes. Yes it is.

Interviewer: I-I don't think th-

Dorko Four You: YES. IT. IS.

Interviewer: ... I see... Whats with the choices of this team?

Dorko Four You: Huh?

Interviewer: Waluigi, a spiky goomba, some pokémon, star fox pilot, a sponge, and a giant man eating plant.

Dorko Four You: Well, it wasn't easy to find many Pokémon who play soccer, I hear, so we ended up getting other people instead. They are cool too, though. Now get out of my sight!

we're here at the newly dubed General Motors Field with the new starting back man for The Saracens, Nappa. Hello Nappa

Nappa: how ya doin?

fine thank you. Now let me ask you, how does it feel to be playing for The Saracens next season?

Nappa: It feels great, any time you can play for a team that is serious about winning the championship, its really special

how do you like your new team mates so far?

Nappa: they're a great bunch, they've been really nice to me ever since I signed on

what would you say you bring to this team?

Nappa: toughness

what do you make of this team going into next season?

Nappa: Its really an exciting team. They have a great offense, they're fast, they move the ball, and now we have good defense too. I think we'll go far

you really beat up on this team when you faced them before...

Nappa: emo-th_icon_sweatdrop.gif well they lacked toughness, so they weren't a very hard matchup for me, they were hard on the goalie though, so I had to step it up against them. I played some of my best games in this building, that's why I'm so glad to play for this team.

how would you compare this team to your old team, The Infernos?

Nappa: well, that team really wasn't competitive. It was like it was just me and Mario out there. I signed on right when the team bottomed out. It was frusterating to be on a losing team, my heart wasn't in it and maybe I didn't play as hard as I should have in my later years there. Here, everyone is talking about winning the championship, its exciting, it makes me not be able to wait to get out there and play!

people say you have a bit of an attitude problem...

Nappa: I did. When your a young player, you don't realize how good you have it to play a game for a living and you get selfish. Once you've been around the league for awhile you wise up. That's what happened to me

how do you feel about the team's new coach, he's a bit...young

Nappa: heh, yeah coach is a little guy ain't he? He basically just lets me do my thing. I've been around the league awhile and I know what I'm doing on defense. He just gives me the latest scouting reports on all the players I'm facing and I take it from there. There are alot of young fellas on this team. Me and Norm are the oldest guys here, and Norm doesn't go out and party like the rest of us, he just goes home. So I'm always the oldest guy in the restaurant. I feel like I'm babysitting

some people say that Yoshi does not have the right attitude to win a championship

Nappa: that's nonsense. Yoshi is one of the best players in the game today. He can score from anywhere, he distributes, he's smart, he even plays decent defense! he works hard on every play even in practice, just cause he ain't out selling shoes doesn't mean anything, and if there is any truth to that, it doesn't matter anyway cause he's got me now

indeed he does, thanks for your time Nappa, I'll let you get back to practice

Nappa: yeah anytime

Interviewer: We now cross over live to an exclusive with Banana Slammers Manger, Cranky Kong!

Cranky: Hi!

Interviewer: Mr. Kong, how good, would you say, chances does your team of younger players have at winning this year.

Cranky: I would say we might be lacking in experience, but we make for it in confidence.

Interviewer: You do realise it is a risky move replacing Donkey Kong with Diddy as Captain?

Cranky: That was not my decision. DK can get more out of the game not being captain and Diddy has a lot of speed for his size.

Interviewer: But Diddy is weak compared to Donkey. How do you think he'll survive a tackle?

Cranky: The owner and I have discussed this matter. Diddy is willing and eager. He can bounce back from almost anything.

Interviewer: Anything else?

Cranky: Yes. I have checked the rule book 10 times. And can find nothing wrong with using your hair to shoot or pass the ball.

Interviewer: Almost forgot, do you have any plans for trades in this season.

Cranky: The GM and I will meet to discuss this matter tonight.

Interviewer: Very well. This looks to be good season for the Banana Slammers.

Cranky: Damn stright.

we're here with Snifit, starting captain for The Wasps how are you doing taoday?

Snifit: very well thanks

lets start things off shall we? How do you feel about this team going into next season?

Snifit: we're good on offense and defense, when we run practice, you can see some real chemistry, we're getting into a rhythm

last year you got to play for your old manager, Peppy Hare, what was that like?

Snifit: I was glad to have Coach Hare's guidance again, even for an older player like me its useful

lets talk about Rawk Hawk

Snifit: he's actually a hard working player, he dives to keep the ball from going in, or even to grab hold of a loose ball. Whatever team signs him will get a good player, he just runs his mouth a bit too much

people say that by getting rid of him your team lacks defense

Snifit: not true, we have great Defense. T is a good goalie in his own right, and he just keeps getting better. Flurrie is just starting to become really great. Watch her when we run practice. You just can't get anything past her! I know on paper it may seem like we're not as good as last year but when we get on the field you see that we have improved

there have been some rumors about you being involved in a possible trade

Snifit: I don't think there isn't a guy on the team except Daisy who there isn't talk of a trade, the front office likes to shake things up. Doesn't bother me. I like playing here but I'm fine anywhere else too

people have said that your getting too slow to be captain...

Snifit: Coach disagrees with them

you mentioned Daisy, what's it like playing with her?

Snifit: when you give her the ball, you know its going places. She always finds a way to score. This whole team is very scrappy. We find ways to win

PonPon Flower is a pretty good young captain. Do you feel threatened?

Snifit: No. PonPon is a great player, if Coach decides he should start than I'll sit back and give him guidance on how to be a good captain. I'd be ok with a supporting role. I've had a good career

back to back rings as a starting captain is a pretty good career

Snifit: I hope to do it again here

I'm sure the fans do too Snifit, its been nice talking to you

Snifit: Thanks

"welcome back to the round table sports fans! It has just been announced by the MKSL commishoner today that this season's all star game will take place in Shooting Star Stadium"

"sounds like a fitting place for stars to congrgate"

"heh, anyway this should be a boost to a club that is beginning to build a fanbase due to thier decent standing last season"

"fan voting for the all star game will commence after every team has played thier second game of the season so be sure you log on and vote for your favorite players. I know I will."

"The allstar game is always somthing to look forward to and this year it will take place in the home of the shooting stars."

"lets get back to our team by team interview shall we? who's next?"

((BTW, I'm toying with the idea of letting RPers that do thier interviews well get spots on the MESN roundtable))
Moon
(Holy crap awesome).

The team is in the field, practicing, while Snake is on the bench, resting.
The Interviewer walks to him.

Interviewer: Hello there, Snake!

Snake: ...

Interviewer: Uh...Snake?

Snake: Huh?, Who are you?

Interviewer: INTERVIEWER IS MY NAME, INTERVIEWING IS MY GAME.

Snake: ...

Interviewer: Er...Anyways, I see your team practices a lot...

Snake: Yeah, we want to be ready for this tournament.
Since the All-Star game will take place on our stadium, Captain Falcon and the others are very excited...

Interviewer: I see...

Snake: Captain Falcon gives the team the will it needs to continue progressing.
It's like his strength never ends, he just keeps shouting and shouting
The others believe in him, and he believes in them, that's what makes a good captain.

Interviewer: What about the other captain, the Snake thing?

Snake: Snake?

Interviewer: Yeah, it looks like a plane, too.

Snake: ...

Interviewer: Anyways, you've been playing for a long time now, do you enjoy it?

Snake: Of course I do, if I didn't like it, I would be in the CIA again.

Interviewer: Indeed.

Snake: Hmm, I need to go back to training.

Interviewer: Wait!, Snake!, Snake!!, SNAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!
MastaWario
(Holy shit is right...cue shitty interview)

Gen Eric: Y Halo Thar, Mr. Wario

Wario: What's a goin' on here?

Gen Eric: You're being interviewed, sir. Mah name's Gen Eric, nice to meet ya and stuff

Wario: Gen Eric...? Ahahahahah

Gen Eric: Shaddup you....Anyway...ermm...How's your team coming?

Wario: Eh, not so good. The head captain flirts with women constantly, we've been in a slump all season, and I'mma hungrah

Gen Eric: Uh-huh, Uh-huh, I see, Uh-huh, Ahh...

Wario: ....What the hell're you doing?

Gen Eric: I'm interviewing you, jackass, that's what.

Wario: *eats reporter*

*Crowd backs away slowly and makes it's way out of the room*
